the renovation of this beach house in bellport, new york aimed to embrace nautical inspirations while offering the comforts of modern living. the home’s reimagined roofline permits more spatially optimal interiors while creating increased durability in the face of the harsh coastal climate. a wraparound porch extends from front to back, creating a fluid connection between indoor and outdoor living. inside, a palette of blues, whites, and grays evokes the serenity of the shore, while bespoke details amplify the maritime theme throughout the home’s four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. the primary bath serves as a striking focal point, featuring a freestanding tub perched on driftwood logs sourced from the beach. another bathroom contains a custom wooden bathtub inspired by the hull of a ship, complemented by a shower curtain made from a sail.
