architectural design, full renovation, historic facade restoration, interior design

this 1830s multi-family home was transformed into a single-family residence with a bold, contemporary interior. doubling its footprint, the addition at the back introduces sleek, nautical-inspired windows overlooking the garden, while round bathroom windows on the front facade echo the nautical theme. side windows connect the old and new structures, creating a flow of light and space. the interior is a departure from the historical facade, embracing modern, minimalist finishes and larger walls to accommodate an art collection. the design pairs contemporary elements with a thoughtful use of space, making the home uniquely suited to modern living.
